When It Rains, It Pours...

Author: G / Labels:

Well we had quite a busy weekend!  It was our first really busy Sunday in a long time and we are so grateful to all of you who came out.

Among the swell were a couple of first-timers (Hi Rosemarie and Patti!), a group from local antique & vintage shop Barnhouse, and a large group of hungry teenage boys accompanied by a swanky chic in sunglasses who all came in after enjoying a day out in the sun and they were huuuuungRY!

On top of it all we had a party of 30 for a baby shower in the back room for my lovely (and gorgeous) friend Sophia.

Tracy brought a cake with a full poem written in icing!  And I made my Earl Grey cupcakes with Milk & Honeylemon frost.  And, yes, they were delicious.

We eventually got so busy that Colleen called Aaron in to work and Me, Mama and Andrea left the party and got to work helping out, busing tables, keeping the drinks flowing, bringing out the orders... and we had heels on too!

Chef Otis was the real star of the day!  He was back in the hot kitchen cranking out those orders and kept a smile on his face.  When I asked if he was okay, he just pointed to this sign...

Monday and Tuesday flew by too with lots of customers, especially for lunch!

Tuesday evening we had our weekly Palette Panel to test new menu items.
Head Chef Henley (Tim Henley, that is) made some absolutely mouth-watering entrees including a port/herb chicken thigh and a Filet Mignion with a thin buttery line of Gorgonzola and Bleu cheese in the center.  We cried it was so good.

Literally, I cried.

Lisa almost cried.

Also it was our lovely server Colleen's Birthday!

Hakuna Matata everyone!

Although I am not familiar personally with any of you, Joy, I have come to know your work and through the glimpses of you I've seen when your guard comes down in both your acting and music, you've impacted my life like no one ever has. I would assume that the people in your life have the same admirable qualities. In saying so, I wish you all the best in finding your goal and having the drive and courage to accomplish it. The world has become a better place for me thanks to you, and I hope you can find the wonderful version of it that you deserve. Congratulations to the Galeotti family-you have earned all of the success you will be given.

Wow, This looks like such a great endeavor. I'm only 23, but I've been co-owner to 2 business already, so I know how crazy it can be. There's nothing better than facing the chaos with family though. (I own a bakery with my grandmother and I do wedding cakes, and I must say, those cupcakes look amazing!) Well, I wish you guys all of the best. Blessings with this new adventure!

I would just like to say congratulations to Joy and your family on this amazing experience.

I have watched you on One Tree Hill since day 1, and you have made Haley my #1 favorite character 7 seasons running now! You put so much heart and talent into Haley, and it's funny you mentioned that you were crying because whenever you cry on the show I start crying, even if it's because Haley's happy, not sad!!!

Anyway, I wish all of you the best of luck on this awesome business venture, and despite the fact I live in New York, I will someday make by way over to Battle Ground and eat in Galeotti's!

P.S. Your hair looks amazing Joy... love the bangs! =)
